Before we move on to Week 3, read through Hebrews 3:1 – 4:13 in one go, and then look back particularly at the five verses which have been the focus of this week’s blogs. (If you want to re-read any of the blogs, click here.)
.
“Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.” (Hebrews 3:1)
.
“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today’, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Hebrews 3:13)
.
“The message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard it did not combine it with faith. Now we who have believed enter that rest.” (Hebrews 4:2b-3a)
.
“Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.” (Hebrews 4:11)
.
“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword... it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
